Background
Professor Economou is an Professor of Defence Robotics and Autonomous Systems. After his service as the Deputy Head Centre for Defence Engineering at Cranfield Defence and Security and Head of the Vehicles and Mechatronics Group, he is currently the Deputy Director of Consultancy for Defence and Security PVC office. He has a BEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Wales, Swansea and an MSc in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, from the University of Sheffield. His PhD is from Cranfield University, in modelling and control of skid-steer multi-wheeled vehicles.
Professor Economou completed Military Service with the Hellenic Armed Forces. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Chartered Engineer CEng of IET and a Member of the IET. He is the Course Director of the Aerosystems MSc.

Professor John Economou is currently the Deputy Head of Consultancy for Defence and Security and can contacted for any related customer requirements.
Professor Economou is Course Director of Aerosystems MSc. He also leads activities in the areas of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems / RPAS , Uncrewed / Uninhabited Military Vehicle Systems (UMVS short course or MSc), Military Aircraft Systems (MAS short course or MSc), and Guidance and Control Systems (GWS MSc).
